Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is a 237-bed hospital offering patients convenience and state-of-the-art care in a community environment. Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is home to the nationally recognized Inova Joint Replacement Center and Inova Rehabilitation Center. It also is the administrative and clinical home for the Inova Wound Healing Center, the regions’ largest and most experienced.
This is a fast pace inpatient unit located in the rear of the ER. Leader prioritizes work-life balance. Successful candidates for this position/unit will be motivated, proactive, self-starter and team player. The unit has 8 beds and nurses have a 1:4 patient ratio, there are two 2 RNs/Tech. Preferred experience for nurses is Med/Surg, Telemetry, stepdown, etc. NIH stroke certification is a plus.
Sign-On/Relocation Bonus Information: This position is eligible for a competitive Sign-On Bonus. Candidates who are relocating 50 miles or further are also eligible for relocation assistance.
Schedule: Full-time, Days (3 – 12 hour shifts)
Requirements: Requires a minimum of 1-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting
Minimum Education Requirement: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required.
Minimum Licensure/ Certification Requirement:
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.
